SCT NAMES 2007 EMPLOYEE OF THE YEAR

South Central Transit recently selected Linda Daniels as it’s 2007 Employee of The Year

Linda has been a SCT driver in Jefferson County for 13 years.  In July of 1993 Jefferson County Transit was officially annexed and SCT assumed the existing Jefferson County Transit and Linda at the same time.

Her driving record speaks for itself, as she has been accident free for more than 11 years.  She was recognized in 2006 with an 11 year Safe Driving Award. 

Randy Barrow, SCT Jefferson County Supervisor: “Linda is the senior driver at the Mt. Vernon facility.  She has been involved with every aspect of the operations in Mt. Vernon.  Linda is a model employee as well as a very kind and caring person.  I have worked with Linda for more than two years and she has always been dedicated to our clients and the South Central Transit organization.  She is quick to volunteer for the extra activities whenever needed.  It is truly a pleasure to work with Linda on an everyday basis”. 

Kyra Vaughn, SCT Jefferson County Dispatcher:  “In the two years I’ve known Linda, she has proven time and time again to be a caring, compassionate, and extremely efficient driver for South Central Transit.  The customer service that she exhibits on a daily basis to the clients that we serve is exceptional.  Linda is just the type of person that whenever I see her, I just want to hug her, because she is truly a blessing to everyone who crosses her path.  South Central Transit truly has a gem of an employee in Linda Daniels”. 

Sheila Niederhofer, Managing Director: Linda was working at SCT when I started 10 years ago.  She has always had a special place in her heart for our customers and thinks of them as family.  She is always willing to help in any aspect of the day-to-day operations of SCT without complaint.  Linda is truly a model employee and an asset to SCT.

Centralia to Carlyle Route: As a result of collaboration with the Department of Human Services (DHS), SCT will provide a weekly route from Centralia to the Carlyle DHS office every Wednesday. This route will be open to the general public with an arrival time at the Carlyle DHS office of approximately 11:00 a.m. and a reverse route returning to Centralia at approximately 2:00 p.m.  Additional transportation services are available within the city limits of Carlyle between those times.  For those interested in this service, please call 1-800-660-7433 for more information.
